About

Welcome to the homepage of the newest chapter in the Discovery Owners Association (DOAI). Founded in 2022, the Four Corners Chapter is currently the only DOAI chapter in the Southwest Region.

The chapter comprises these four states: Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah. However, chapter membership is open to all DOAI members in good standing.

As of August 2023, we have 22 coaches in the Four Corners Chapter. These coaches and its members come from 9 states, all west of the Mississippi.

RALLIES

The goal of the chapter is to conduct a minimum of two rallies per year, a summer rally and a winter rally. These will typically bracket the DOAI National Rally.

We have held two summer rallies, in Mancos, CO. Our winter rally in 2023 was held in Yuma, AZ with half of our coaches attending. The 2024 winter rally was held January 12-16 in Laughlin, NV again with half our registered coaches attending.

The 2025 Winter Rally will be held Coachella Lakes RV Resort in Coachella, CA. Dates for the rally are for an arrival on January 12, 2025 and a departure of January 16,  2025. All sites (300-312) are pull through, are colocated next to one another, and are close to the clubhouse. The rate is $72 per night, minus a $7reservation fee and applicable taxes. The rally rate is good for 3 days prior to the rally and 3 days after its conclusion. We must meet a certain number of site nights to get the rally rate otherwise the nightly fee per site is $87. Reservations booked pre and post rally will contribute to the total number of site nights reserved. I will monitor this closely to try and ensure we meet the minimum number of site nights.

Each attendee is responsible for making their own reservation no later than November 13, 2024. A 50% deposit is required for the guest's entire stay. The deposit is refundable up to 48 hours prior to arrival minus a $25 administrative fee. Cancellation less than 48 hours prior to  arrival, the deposit is forfeited. For chapter members to make a reservation, contact the reservations department at (442) 325-9292, ext 1. For members outside the Four Cornere Chapter, contact Van Edelmann at vanedelmann@icloud.com first before making a site reservation.

How to Join a Chapter

In the Member Profile, the Chapters/Additional Members section allows you to maintain your chapter affiliations for your membership and those of your Spouse/Partner members.

Click ADD CHAPTER to select a Chapter you wish to join. In the SELECT A CHAPTER dropdown list, navigate the Region listing to locate the Chapter you wish to join. Select the desired Chapter and click SAVE to add this chapter to your membership or CANCEL to close the dialog without saving.

Profile - Add Chapter Section

If you add a Chapter in the middle of the year and a chapter fee has been enabled, you may see a mid-year charge and will be prompted to proceed to the Payment page to complete payment. The option for ClubExpress to manage a Chapter's dues is based upon the respective Chapter's decision.

The Remove from Chapter icon allows you to remove this chapter from your membership.

You can find more information about this process under the ClubExpress Information section on the FAQ page of the website at DOAI FAQ
